idiopathic

All right I relate myself to a leopardess. "Curiousity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought her back to life." I am wondering if there are any other members on here who have been diagnosed with idiopathic
intracranial hypertension. It primarily targets overweight women in their child bearing years. It is also known as a Cerebral Pseudo Tumor. Spinal fluid builds up inside your cranial area causing your brain to belive it is suffering from a tumor. I was diagnosed with this condition back in 2005. I had a spinal tap perfomed in July of that year. The pressure inside my head was twenty seven at that time. I lost ost of my vision at twenty one back in 2004. It was due to my optic nerves becoming swollen from having idiopathic
intracranial hypertension. It just was not discovered until 2005. I lost most of my vision in a six month period of time. My optic nerves stayed swollen for two years. By 2007 I thought I was going to never encounter this condition again. Then back in October of 2014 the head aches came back worse than ever. Last April I was perfomring an update on my Iphone where I started seeing prime colors of blue, red, and green flashing across the screen. Eventually the screen started flashing different shades of blue until it went to a single spot of blue the size of a dime in the middle of the screen. So, in June of 2015 I had my third spinal tap. My pressure again was twenty seven. Each time I was gieven a spinal tap they would dreain the pressure back down to under ten. I began having times where my vision would black out for a few minutes at a time. So, again in November in the emergency room they perfomed another spinal tap. Again the pressure was only twenty seven. Up to this point my Neurologist did not believe I had idiopathic
intracranial hypertension. However, again I could tell the pressure once again had built up inside of my skull. On Friday morning I had my fifth spinal tap. The pressure this time was at thirty nine. So, my next step is to see a Neuro Optomologist to see if once again my optic nerves are swollen. To describe what my migraines feel like with this condition it feels like a Python lives inside of my head, and he enjoys squeezing himself as tightly as possible around my brain. I have a long road of recovery ahead of me; however I know God and Jesus Christ, as well as my paw patrol will be with me during the entire time. I greatly appreciate any prayers, positive thoughts/vibes, and any well wishes.

That sounds really horrible. Never heard of that condition. Best wishes from a friend.

Well last night I had my sixth spinal tap. I went to the U.K. clinic to see a plastic surgeon
about a possible bone spurt on my left foot. I should have said this at the beginning, but
oh well. So, I was having a great time riding up there. Not only did the cab driver who
works for Federaid do 40% of the the tattoo artist who did my first and third tattoos, but
he was the son of one the best cab driver who left last year. So, we're cruising down to
Lexington listening to classic rock, and Strange by the Doors comes on as my last song.
Well while I was at the clinic I had a bad migraine, and had to get X-rays of my foot.
When I come out waiting for transport I place two fingers over my eyes. When I removed
them everything went black for a few minutes. I've had it happen before last year. So, I
went to the ER. I'll be going on the diuretic that goes along with this condition.6

This sounds horrible. Chronic conditions that cause pain have to be some of the worst things imaginable. I hope they find something that works.

I'm sorry for you. That has to hurt. Some won't like me saying this I guess, but I really hope there's medical marijuana in your state to help with the pain, I'm damn near certain it really hurts. I'm sure you get people not believing you, common with most medical things, but I sure as hell believe you, and I'm sorry for you.

I wish they'd go ahead, and legalize Marijuana. It's not legal here, but for now all you get
is a ticket you have to pay in Kentucky. I had my seventh spinal tap on the morning of
November the fifteenth. I felt so ashamed because I had a panic attack over it. It was so
embarrassing because my sister is in residency with the girl who was working with the
attending physician on call. 😬 I had a pressure of thirty two this time, so they drained
twenty two CC's of spinal fluid off my brain. I'm hoping I'll live through this condition.I

I'm praying you live through it, too. I understand rare conditions, and how hard it is to get help. I should be supported by DDD, but because I didn't get diagnosed till 22, they told me to go fly a kite. It really sucks, because, I can do things, but don't have support.
Blessings and prayers,
Sarah

No matter how they make you feel, and I do know these types make people feel intimidated for anxiety, it's not your fault.
There is an herbal remedy for anxiety called Stress Guard. It's got an herb called Theanine. I tested it on myself after my Wife had been using it. I'm someone who gets squeamish over pretty much any medical procedure. When I took two once, the thing I can say is you don't have the physical feelings associated with anxiety, and mentally you're kind of not tripping out that way. I don't mean the holding it together stuff you do to avoid their shaming tactics, but just generally it makes you less stressed out.
If you can get to a GNC or something, I'd pick up a bottle or several.
Again, they have no right to shame you. People have anxiety over things they've had go wrong. These numbnuts do it to everyone from little kids through old people. And I as a software engineer for over 20 years have seen stress puppies like you wouldn't believe; how bout a financier or shareholder whose server just went to shit, hmm? No easy out called shaming tactics. Then again, competent people don't shame others over stuff like this. Houston didn't shame Columbia or Challenger, since Houston either knew what they were doing, or admitted they didn't know, the only two honorable positions for competent people.
I know it's tough to hear, but when they shame you, it says a hell of a lot more about them than you. Of course, when you're in the thick of it, you're actually vulnerable and in need of some assistance. Remember the dipstick support people in the 90s that would tell modem users to download a patch to their modem, so they could connect to the Internet? Kinda the same situation you're dealing with here.
Take a look at picking up that Stress Guard, or anything else that has a lot of Theanine in it. I'd say weed would probably not help you in this situation unless you got the stuff high in the other chemical - not THC - as THC will give you the kind of waves / surfer action we recreational users rather enjoy. But that wouldn't particularly work to settle you when dealing with deplorables.

Wow never heard of this stuff. I definitely need to try it. Well every time I've had them
perform a spinal tap since October the twenty eighth each new doctor has trouble finding
that magical spot to insert the needle. Each time I get this lovely electricity that shoots
down my left leg. It isn't easy to remain calm while they play hit and miss with that
neeedle. I let my sister hear it from me first. I'm getting to the point when I hear lumbar
puncture I'm thinking bring the gun instead. You are only given a local anasthetic to
slightly numb the area.

I have this surgery, for my bladder, and I beg to be knocked out. I don't want to feel a thing! I feel your pain. Well, I don't anymore. *Smiles

Well I saw my neurologist today. The man is an idiot!!!!!!!! He didn't acknowledge the five
times I've had a lumbar puncture in less than a year. Right now I'm too tired to be furious.
I'm ready to blow this hell hole called the Kentucky Clinic, and travel home to my nice
warm bed.

This evening I had my eighth spinal puncture performed at U.K.It actually went really well
this time. I had a third year resident perform it. He hit his mark on the first try. However,
later on I figured out why'd had a dislike for him. His first name was Ryan, and I highly
dislike men with that name. Anyways, getting tired it's time for zzz's with Bear.

I am sorry to hear all this you are going threw. I had a friend back in early highschool that had some similar things she went threw. It is hard I imagine.

I once thought I had a brain tumer after having a massive headache for weeks on end. I went to the ER and they wanted to do a spine tap on me. I opted out and they gave me Morphine instead. It wasn't much but enough I halusenated the nurse and my BoyFriend at the time would talking about hooking up. LOL!

It got weird when I confronted them about it.

Leo.
I feel like I have heard of that stuff or something like it threw the brand Doterra.
They have these beadlet things that seems really great and I wonder if GNC has any of those.

You worry about a man's name that is treating you?
Seriously?
